About the tour
Country Folk is a Stourbridge-based acoustic duo comprising of Lizi Platts on vocals and Roger Wall on acoustic guitar.
Both Lizi and Roger are big fans of good music – whether that’s a catchy riff or some beautiful songwriting. Music has played a big part of both their lives, with them each taking inspiration from their love of country, blues, folk and indie.
Whilst the duo specialises in covers, focusing on a mix of classic and contemporary songs, you will find the songs you do know sound a little different but there’s definitely something in there for everyone.
Roger and Lizi will have been playing together for two years in May 2024 and have grown and evolved from performing at local open mic nights to playing weekly gigs at a range of venues. They’ve even secured a spot at the Midland’s take on Woodstock.
Together, they combine to make a mellow but powerful acoustic sound infused with emotional content. The vibe is definitely country folk, but with a whole heap of pop and soul thrown in for good measure.
